Older Music Rediscovered - Cindy Williams - They Talk About Us

This song may be the most obscure song worthy of this blog that I have found yet. I'm reaching way back into the past now as this came out around 1967. As I understand it, she only issued two 45s both only in the U.K. This tune should have been a massive hit. FYI, this is not the same Cindy Williams that appeared on Laverne & Shirley in the seventies. This Cindy Williams came from Swansea in Wales.Boy, can she belt out a song. BTW, It took ages to find a place that hosts it. Now, mercifully Youtube finally showcases it.

Older Music Rediscovered - Gene Clark - Eight Miles High--Gene's version..

Eight Miles High (Gene's version) ~ The soundtrack is Eight Miles High performed live solo by Gene Clark at a venue in Liberty, New York on 10/8/1988. This song, written by Gene Clark with contributions by Jim (later Roger) McGuinn and David Crosby was on the Byrds' 3rd album Fifth Dimension (1966), most of which was recorded after Gene, the band's primary songwriter, had departed. However, here, Gene performs his original version of the song as he presented it to The Byrds before modifications were made to it. Interesting how he comments how this is his pure version prior to Roger McGuinn's John Coltrane inspired 12 string guitar riffs were added morphing the song into a rock classic.
